Colombia- An Experience of a Lifetime!

Having traveled worldwide most of my adult life, I found that the Friendship Force International exchange to be a remarkably unique and pleasurable experience- a whole new world of travel. The personal interaction with residents of Colombia was what made the difference.

The hospitality of these folks was spectacular- warm, welcoming, and sincerely appreciative of the opportunity to showcase their nation and way of life. These wonderful people were the epitome of Friendship Force International priciples and standards. The truly showed us what it means to be a Colombian by enabling us to see their national museums, the beautiful scenery of the country (both rural and suburban), the wealth of educational institutions, and the exciting nightlife of Bogota. They left no stone unturned.

Without exception, all members of our Club were hosted by families and individuals who were genuinely happy to have us visit their country and learn about their culture and national history. They made us feel like we were doing them a favor by visiting them- unbelievably humble and generous people.

There is no question in my mind that I made lasting friendships that will remain with me for a lifetime.
